Malvaviscus penduliflorus 'Chilli Pink' is an ornamental shrub related to Hibiscus and a member of the family Malvaceae (mallow). Commonly called 'Turk's Cap' or 'Sleepy Mallow', it is thought to originate from Central or Southern Mexico. It is a medium-sized shrub, reaching up to ten feet tall and ten feet wide, distinguishable by its beautiful pink, downward-pointing, tubular flowers. The flower petals stay swirled around the stamen instead of expanding outward, appearing like an unopened hibiscus flower. Its nectar attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, and a variety of other pollinators. Prefers full to partial sun and well-draining soil. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
