Shooting Star, a native of Fiji, is a perennial shrub with a steady supply of purple star-shaped flowers. It can reach a height and width of 4 feet. This flowering plant grows and blooms best in light shade. Even though it is a heat-loving tropical shrub, Shooting Star does not hold up to drought. Keep the soil moist; apply a layer of mulch over soil to retain moisture. Attracts bees and butterflies. (Pot size: 1 gallon)
